10 B1G players named to Sporting News All-America teams

With just under two months until the first kickoff of the 2021 college football season, the preseason accolades are trickling out. This week, Sporting News released its preseason All-America teams.

A healthy number of B1G players found their names on the list, with the conference landing 10 players on the two teams. There were five first-team selections and five second-team selections. To keep things even, there were also five offensive players and five defensive players to receive mentions.

Ohio State led the way for the conference with four players selected. Penn State was the only other team with multiple selections, landing two players on the teams. Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Northwestern each had one representative.

SECOND TEAM DEFENSE

Aidan Hutchinson, DL, Michigan

Tiawan Mullen, CB, Indiana
