11 B1G stars land on Sporting News’ 2022 preseason All-America list

The heart of summer is upon us as B1G Media Days are less than two weeks around the corner. That means fall training camps – and the unofficial start to the 2022 college football season – are quickly coming.

With that in mind, a number of publications are releasing their preseason lists for a number of awards. That includes preseason All-America teams. On Friday, Sporting News dropped their first and second team All-American selections heading into the season with some B1G power included.

After a dramatic freshman season with over 1,500 yards of offense, Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson was included on the first-team offense with big expectations. Teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba was also featured on the first-team offense.

On the first-team defense, Iowa linebacker Jack Campbell was featured after posting 140 tackles in 2021. Teammate Riley Moss – who had 4 interceptions in 2021 – also made the cut.

T – Peter Skoronski, Northwestern

First team defense

LB – Jack Campbell, Iowa
CB – Riley Moss, Iowa

First team specialists

K – Jake Moody, Michigan
P – Adam Korsak, Rutgers

Second team offense

QB – C.J. Stroud, Ohio State
T – Paris Johnson, Ohio State
C – Olesegun Oluwatimi, Michigan

Second team specialists

K – Noah Ruggles, Ohio State
