The 2022 NFL season is just around the corner. Pro Football Focus recently shared its “PFF 50,” for the 50 best players in the NFL entering 2022.

The Big Ten is well represented on the list. Starting with Wisconsin alum T.J. Watt at No. 7, 13 players who entered the NFL from current B1G schools made the list.

  • No. 7 Pittsburgh Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt (Wisconsin)
  • No. 8 Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady (Michigan)
  • No. 19 Pittsburgh Steelers DI Cameron Heyward (Ohio State)
  • No. 20 San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (Iowa)
  • No. 21 Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (Wisconsin)
  • No. 25 Los Angeles Chargers EDGE Joey Bosa (Ohio State)
  • No. 26 San Francisco 49ers EDGE Nick Bosa (Ohio State)
  • No. 29 Dallas Cowboys LB Micah Parsons (Penn State)
  • No. 33 Los Angeles Chargers C Corey Linsley (Ohio State)
  • No. 38 Tampa Bay Buccaneers OT Tristan Wirfs (Iowa)
  • No. 39 Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (Maryland)
  • No. 40 Green Bay Packers S Adrian Amos (Penn State)
  • No. 49 Green Bay Packers EDGE Rashan Gary (Michigan)

Though not included on our B1G list, it’s worth noting Joe Burrow is ranked No. 27, something many Ohio State fans will appreciate.

PFF says “no single number or grade dictates the list,” but PFF’s grading and a wins above replacement metric factor into the PFF 50. Los Angeles Rams standout defender Aaron Donald is the No. 1 player. The full list can be viewed here.
