Rowan Brumbaugh has released his top 6 schools in his commitment process and 2 of them come from the B1G.

Maryland and Northwestern have made the cut as the 2 B1G schools, and the 4 other schools on there are Miami, Kansas, Oregon, and Texas.

Per 247Sports, Brumbaugh is considered the 4th best player from Massachusetts and the 23rd best point guard for the 2022 class. He’s also ranked as the 173rd player overall nationally for 22.

After Brumbaugh dropped his top 6, he spoke to Dushawn London of 247Sports about why he put each team in there and this is what he had to say about Maryland:

“They’re the hometown team and I have a really good relationship with coach Turgeon. I visited there and have a lot of friends on the team that go there so it’s a great place. They love hometown kids, love big point guards, and want to play fast and that’s what I want to do.”

He then was asked about Northwestern and what stood out about them to include the school as one of his finalists:

“I have a really good relationship with coach Collins and a couple of their assistants. They’ve been recruiting me for a while. I like how they’re in the Big-10, and love how they use their guards. They have a big opportunity for me over there, I have a lot of family in Chicago and I love their style of play.”

Brumbaugh has not announced a commitment date as of yet, though it’ll likely be coming in the foreseeable future.
