To officially become bowl-eligible, a team needs at least 6 wins with a minimum winning percentage of .500, which Michigan and Ohio State attained on Saturday. With the respective wins on Saturday, the Wolverines and Buckeyes advanced to 6-0 on the season.
Ohio State became bowl eligible with a blow out win over Michigan State. C.J. Stroud became the first Big Ten quarterback to throw for 6 touchdown passes in a game on 3 separate occasions, and Marvin Harrison Jr. became the first Ohio State player to have a hat trick in 3 separate games.
It wasn’t the easiest win for Michigan as the offense struggled with third-down conversions and had a field goal blocked, but the No. 4 Wolverines got it done, taking down Indiana 31-10.
