2 Ohio State hoopers, Justice Sueing and Seth Towns, were described as ‘somewhat limited’ in practice for the Buckeyes Monday afternoon according to head coach Chris Holtmann.
“We have everybody practicing right now in some capacity. We have Justice and Seth who are practicing, but they’re somewhat limited in what they can do,” Holtmann said, via Buckeyes site Eleven Warriors. “Justice and Seth will not play in the two games in the Bahamas. They won’t be fully cleared. We do expect them to be fully cleared by September. Don’t anticipate any issue there.”
The Buckeyes are set to scrimmage against Egyptian and Puerto Rican national teams in the Bahamas this upcoming weekend.
And Neither Sueing nor Towns are guys Holtmann and the Buckeyes can afford to lose for another season. Sueing has already seen his fair share of injury problems, missing the majority of 2021 with a hernia injury. The former Cal standout averaged nearly 11 points and 6 rebounds per game in 2020-21 after transferring the prior season. 2022 will be Sueing’s 6th and final in the college ranks.
Towns took a similar route to Columbus, transferring from Yale and also missing the 2021-22 season following offseason back surgery.
Both hold potential for this Buckeyes team and it looks like they’ll be back on the hardwood in time for the college basketball season in September.
