2019 compensation for NCAA president Mark Emmert revealed

Mark Emmert’s total compensation for 2019 has been revealed.
Steve Berkowitz of USA Today reported on Monday that the NCAA president was credited with $2.9 million in total compensation for the 2019 calendar year. It was revealed through the organization’s tax records.
Back in April, Emmert received a contract extension through 2025 upon the approval of the NCAA’s Board of Governors. He has been in the position since November 2010.

Emmert had previously been under contract until 2023, so his extension adds two years to his deal. The extension was also unanimously approved.
The NCAA has gone through some major changes recently, altering its Name, Image and Likeness policies and transfer rules over the course of the 2020-21 academic year. There have been plenty of shake-ups with the association, but Emmert is still serving in the role of president.
