Minnesota has yet to lose on the field in 2019, but the Golden Gophers lost a recruit this week.

According to 247Sports, 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman Casey Collier has decided to decommit from Minnesota, opening his options. Collier also made a public announcement via Twitter late on Sunday night.

“I have decommitted from the University of Minnesota,” Collier wrote. “Thank you to the coaching staff for your time and interest during the process.”

Collier initially committed to the Gophers back in March of this year. Since his commitment, though, Collier has received additional offers from Power Five programs. Texas Tech, Texas State, SMU, Arizona and Missouri have all offered the big-bodied lineman since his announcement in March.

He now holds 13 total offers, according to 247Sports.

Collier is ranked near the top 100 of offensive tackles in the 2020 class and comes in as one of the top 200 players in the talent-rich state of Texas.

Minnesota’s 2020 class is now down to 23 commits. The Gophers rank 33rd nationally and eighth in the B1G.
