While most of the 2021 recruiting cycle is in the rear view mirror, five programs are still in the mix for 5-star defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau.
Tuimoloau hasn’t signed with a school yet, electing to take official visits in June before deciding on his next program.
Ohio State has been involved in his recruitment for a long time, and the Buckeyes will get one of his five official visits. He’s also still considering Washington, USC, Oregon and Alabama.
Here’s his visit schedule for the month of June:
The #1 Player in the Class of 2021, J.T. Tuimoloau will take his official visits to the following schools this summer (H/T 247Sports) :
Washington- June 4-6
USC- June 14-16
Ohio State- June 18-20
Oregon- June 20-22
Alabama- June 25-27@JT_tuimoloau pic.twitter.com/pNLrJRoMvM— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) May 28, 2021
He’s the No. 3 overall player in the country for the class of 2021, according to 247SportsComposite rankings. 247Sports has him ranked No. 1 overall.
According to 247Sports recruiting experts, Ohio State is the favorite going into this busy month of visits. Several lead experts have projected Tuimoloau to end up a Buckeye.
Because he’s a 2021 recruit, Tuimoloau is likely to sign shortly after he completes his visit schedule. However, Ohio State’s summer schedule starts on June 22 — so he wouldn’t be able to enroll in Columbus for the summer and still take a visit to Alabama.
Ohio State has the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation heading into his decision.
