The B1G is not “lovin’ it.”
On Tuesday, the list of McDonald’s All-American basketball prospects was released for the 2022 recruiting class. A total of 24 players were included but not one has committed to a B1G school.
Just one player, Anthony Black, remains undecided.
Here’s a look at the complete list of the 2022 McDonald’s All-Americans. Joe Tipton of On 3 tweeted out the list on Tuesday:

What’s particularly surprising about the B1G not having any commits make the cut is that several programs are recruiting at a high rate.
Currently, Ohio State owns the nation’s No. 5 recruiting class and Michigan sits at No. 7, per 247Sports. Indiana is No. 17, Illinois comes in at No. 18 and Penn State and Purdue are No. 25 and No. 26, respectively.
Those 6 programs have combined to sign 15 recruits with a 4- or 5-star rating.
But, the B1G will not have any McDonald’s All-Americans coming into the league next season. We’ll see if it happens in 2023.
