The pre-draft process is in full swing as players prepare and train for the 2022 NFL Draft.
Coming up next week will be one of the keystone events of the process leading up to the draft in April. That event will be the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
The Senior Bowl presents an opportunity for players to perform in drills and practices in front of NFL personnel while also conducting interviews and face-to-face meetings with NFL teams. That process will help shape the outlook for the draft, but a number of players are likely already solidified as potential first-round picks.
On Monday, Trevor Sikkema with Pro Football Focus unveiled his latest first-round mock draft. In the battle for the top overall pick, Alabama lineman Evan Neal edged out Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson. Hutchinson wound up going No. 2 to the Detroit Lions in the mock draft.
In total, 7 B1G stars came off the board as first-round selections. Here is that list:
- 2. Detroit Lions: Aidan Hutchinson, Edge, Michigan
- 7. New York Giants: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
- 13. Cleveland Browns: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
- 14. Baltimore Ravens: George Karlaftis, Edge, Purdue
- 15. Philadelphia Eagles: David Ojabo, Edge, Michigan
- 28. Green Bay Packers: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
- 31. Detroit Lions: Jaquan Brisker, S, Penn State
