Andrew Ivins of 247Sports is giving Penn State fans something to be excited about in the near future. The Nittany Lions have a really solid group of secondary recruits heading to campus from the 2023 class.
King Mack, Elliot Washington, Conrad Hussey, DaKaari Nelson, Lamont Payne, and Zion Tracy are all secondary players who are committed to Penn State per 247Sports. Ivins really likes what Manny Diaz is trying to do.
“I also really like what Penn State is doing in the secondary,” said Ivins. “I thought Manny Diaz’s defense looked awesome against Auburn. King Mack, Elliot Washington, those are 10-6 guys in the 100 meter dash. Conrad Hussey, he’s a 10-9 guy. To me, these are guys who can cover in the back end, and allow the pass rush to get home.”

If the Penn State defense looks good right now, wait until these guys set foot on campus. If all these guys pan out, Diaz could have a solid secondary core on his hands.
