Ohio State is losing a lot of production at receiver this season. Even so, it’s hard to feel bad for the Buckeyes.

After all, the losses of Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson only sting until you realize future first round picks Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Marvin Harrison Jr. are there to fill the gaps.

But 247 Sports analyst Cooper Petagna has another Buckeye showing out in the wide receiver corps this season.

“I’m going to go with Emeka Egbuka, originally out of Washington in the 2021 cycle,” Petegna said. “A lot of that has to do with what just left the receiver room.”

The Buckeyes lose 135 receptions, 1900 yards receiving and 25 touchdowns from last season.

“Egbuka I think kind of fits a little bit more of the guy that can run side by side with Jaxson Smith-Njigba and can kinda play that Garrett Wilson role,” Petagna said. ” I think he’s gonna have a big year, not to mention CJ Stroud, a Heisman contender, is his quarterback.”

Egbuka will battle with Harrison and Smith Njigba, but also junior Julian Fleming for reps this upcoming fall.
