Ohio State might have a head start on getting the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2024 class. According to 247 Sports Andrew Ivins, Jeremiah Smith definitely is leaning towards the Buckeyes.
“Really Ohio State probably had the best collection of 2024 talent on campus than anyone else in the country in Week 1, and Jeremiah Smith was one of the headliners. This is a kid I’ve had Crystal Balled to the Buckeyes for a couple of months now… I love Ohio State here. Who knows when he’ll make a decision, but it sounds like Ohio State is in the driver’s seat.
“I just think he likes Zone 6, I think he likes Brian Hartline.”

Smith also has Alabama, USC, and Miami on his list.
According to what recruiting organization you listen to, OSU either has the No.1 or No. 2 recruiting class in the country at the moment and they continue to build momentum going into next year and beyond.
Smith, who is out of Florida, is going to be a good one for whoever lands him. But don’t go to sleep on either Alabama or Miami. The Buckeyes may have the advantage for now, but his recruitment is far from over and all teams involved realize that.
