Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but Ohio State is looking to build another strong recruiting class with an elite group of receiving prospects. It has turned into a near-annual occurrence with Brian Hartline on staff.

In a video Wednesday, Steve Wiltfong – the Director of Recruiting for 247 Sports – predicted another big year for the Buckeyes on the recruiting trail, specifically at wide receiver. The first player Wiltfong touched on is a 4-star receiver out of North Carolina.

“I think they land Top247 WR Noah Rogers soon, the prolific pass-catcher out of North Carolina,” explained Wiltfong. “Love where the Buckeyes stand.”

Wiltfong also likes where the Buckeyes stand with 5-star prospect Brandon Inniss and 4-star WR Carnell Tate:

“Brandon Inniss, the No. 1 receiver on the 247 Sports Composite. I still love my Crystal Ball prediction for the Buckeyes going into official visits for Alabama and Ohio State in June,” Wilftfon said, “And still like Ohio State for Carnell Tate.

“What a haul those guys would be. The offense, the track record of development at the position by (Brian) Hartline… Ohio State’s locker room is really one of the biggest reasons why these prospects come.”

Here are Wiltfong’s full comments on Ohio State:

The receiver pipeline that Hartline has established for the Buckeyes is truly something else. Ohio State landed a quartet of 4-star receivers via the class of 2022 in Kyion Grayes, Caleb Burton, Kaleb Brown and Kojo Antwi. That group came one year after Ohio State added the likes of Emeka Egbuka, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jayden Ballard in the class of 2021.
