Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State all kept their No. 1,2 and 3 rankings respectfully, while a nail-biter of a win against Maryland had Purdue clawing their way into the No. 4 spot. Defeating Iowa 9-6 in a slugfest in Memorial Stadium on Saturday, the Illini also moved up a spot to No. 5 on the list.
Slipping in the rankings this week were Minnesota, Iowa and Michigan State. The Golden Gophers were off this past week after suffering a homecoming loss to Purdue without Mohamed Ibrahim. Iowa lost to Illinois a miserable slugfest that ended in a score of 6-9, while the Spartans felt the wrath of Ohio State in East Lansing.
