247Sports has posted its true freshmen to keep on the radar with two B1G players making the list.
In a list posted on Friday afternoon, true freshmen Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson and Michigan cornerback Will Johnson both were included as emerging ‘stars with late-season opportunities.’
Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson has been making some solid ground when he received his first official start for the Hawkeyes during the Ohio State game, three weeks ago. Johnson has surely been helping the Hawkeyes’ offense with 321 yards on 7 yards per carry, forcing 23 missed tackles. Johnson has 553 yards rushing with 4 touchdowns on the year.
Michigan’s Will Johnson has been a huge key to the Wolverine defense, making his first start in last Saturday’s game against Rutgers. Johnson has an 82.7 PFF grade for true freshman cornerbacks that have played at least 100 snaps this season.
These Johnson guys sure are putting up big numbers in B1G play and we certainly will keep an eye out to see how they continue playing.
