A heavily-recruited defensive back out of Alabama has narrowed his list of options down to 10 programs. He’s including 3 B1G schools in that mix.
Friday, 3-star defensive back TJ Metcalf released the list of the Top 10 teams he’s still considering for his commitment. Out of the B1G, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State all made the cut.
The other 7 teams to make the list include Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Jackson State, Miami, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Metcalf revealed his schools with a post on Twitter.

Metcalf is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound safety out of Pinson, Ala. Per the 247Sports composite rankings, he’s a Top 500 overall prospect, ranking No. 473 nationally. He’s also listed as the No. 40 safety of the cycle and a Top 25 talent from Alabama.
The 2023 defensive back received offers from 24 programs before narrowing his list down to 10 options.
Penn State currently owns the highest-ranked class of the B1G teams mentioned, coming in at No. 5 nationally in the 2023 cycle. Michigan State is currently at No. 16 and Michigan is two spots back at No. 18.
