Three B1G teams have made the final cut for a 4-star defensive tackle out of Oak Park, Michigan.

Saturday afternoon, Top 200 defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny announced the schools he’s still considering. Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State are the three B1G programs still in the running to land the heavily-recruited lineman. Kentucky is the lone SEC program in the mix.

Benny has received nearly 40 offers on the recruiting front, but has settled on a list of finalists. Along with sharing his final teams on Twitter, the 6-foot-5, 275-pound lineman said he plans to commit soon.

Benny is listed as the No. 6 player from the state of Michigan and is the 14th-ranked defensive tackle in the 2021 recruiting class. Overall, Benny ranks No. 188 in the cycle.

From 247Sports recruiting analyst Allen Trieu:

Build wise, he looks like an inside-outside swing guy on the hoof. Has played both sides of the ball in high school and plays with tenacity and has good functional strength already. Runs his feet on contact and plays with good balance. Has good feet and athleticism in pass protection but has to get stronger in his punch and improve hand technique.

During his junior season at the high school level, Benny played on both the offensive and defensive lines.
