3-star offensive line prospect Dylan Lopez is back on the market, and that could be big news for Michigan State.

Lopez announced his de-commitment from USC on Friday afternoon.

Lopez originally committed to USC back in November. Back on March 24, he received an offer from the Spartans to be apart of Mel Tucker’s 2022 recruiting class.

He currently attends IMG Academy in Florida, but originally went to Rancho Verde High School in souther California.

Lopez is the No. 2 overall center prospect in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He also holds offers from Arizona State, Colorado and California, amongst others, per 247Sports.

Michigan State’s 2022 recruiting class is already off to a nice start. Tucker has already earned commitments from five 3-star prospects. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Michigan State has the No. 30 class in the country and the No. 7 class in the Big Ten.

There’s still a long way to go before the Early Signing Period in December, but adding a player of Lopez’s caliber would go a long way towards securing a top-30 class for the Spartans in 2022.
