Three teams out of the B1G are in the mix for a 4-star athlete in the 2023 recruiting class.
Malik Hartford, one of the nation’s Top 300 prospects of the cycle, released the Top 7 programs he’s still considering for his commitment on Friday morning. Out of the B1G, Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State made the cut.
The other 4 programs are Cincinnati, Kentucky, Notre Dame and West Virginia. He narrowed his list down from a total of 23 offers on the recruiting front.
Hartford is listed at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. He’s ranked as the No. 18 athlete in the class and the No. 4 prospect out Ohio, per the 247Sports composite scores.
Michigan State currently owns the B1G’s second-best class for the 2023 recruiting period, and adding the 4-star prospect would be a huge addition. Michigan sits No. 3 at the moment and Ohio State is No. 4.
Penn State owns the conference’s top class.
