One big-time prospect for the class of 2022 recently cut down his list, keeping Tom Allen’s Hoosiers in the running.

The player is Jacolby Spells, a four-star recruit out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He recently unveiled his top three schools, including Miami (FL), West Virginia, and Indiana.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Spells is listed as a four-star ATH but is rated as the No. 27 cornerback nationally. Spells is also a top-300 recruit and the No. 28 prospect out of Florida for the cycle.
Spells is listed at 5-foot-11 and 170 lbs. with his commitment expected to come on July 4, just over a week away.

Landing Spells would be a big win for Allen and the Hoosiers. He would become the third highest-rated recruit for Indiana’s 2022 class and would join Dasan McCullough and Trevell Mullen as four-star commits for the Hoosiers’ class. Stay tuned to see where Spells winds up to begin his college career.
