Three B1G teams are still in contention to land a 4-star cornerback out of Oradell, New Jersey.

Earlier this week, 4-star cornerback Jaeden Gould revealed his Top 6 schools, a list trimmed down after receiving 36 offers on the recruiting trail. Half of that list is made up of B1G squads, with Michigan, Penn State and Rutgers all included.

Clemson, Notre Dame and USC were the three non-B1G teams to land in Gould’s Top 6. He made the announcement on Thursday with a post on Twitter.

Per 247Sports, Gould ranks as the No. 145 overall talent in the 2022 recruiting class. He also ranks as the No. 16 cornerback and the No. 2 player from New Jersey. Several other B1G programs to extend offers to the 4-star prospect included Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin, but all appear to be eliminated from consideration.

From 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn:

Big frame with ideal cornerback length. Can easily play at 215 pounds. Elite athleticism. Explosive, fast, high football IQ. Hip looseness results in fluid change of direction. Possesses closing speed. Physical with ball in air. Aggressive down the field.

All three B1G teams have recruited the 2022 class well early on. Penn State owns the conference’s second-best class (behind Ohio State), with 7 players committed, all 4-star prospects. The Nittany Lions rank No. 5 nationally.

Rutgers currently sits third in the B1G and No. 10 overall, also with 7 pledges. The Scarlet Knights have a 4-star recruit, as well as commitments from 6 players with a 3-star rating.

Michigan rounds out this group at No. 4 in the B1G with 5 commits, which includes a pair of 4-star players. The Wolverines are listed at No. 15 nationally.
