4-star DB out of Baton Rouge for 2022 keeps Michigan in top 6 list

One talented defensive back for the class of 2022 recently made some cuts to his potential destinations.

Austin Ausberry is a 4-star defensive back out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On Saturday, he released his list of top six schools.

Michigan is still in the running for Ausberry, along with Notre Dame and a group of schools from the SEC that includes Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Auburn.

According to the industry-generate composite rankings, Ausberry is the 28th-best cornerback and No. 258 player nationally for the cycle. He is also rated as the 15th-best recruit out of Louisiana for 2022.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 lbs., Ausberry has good size for the outside. Michigan was among the most recent schools to offer him with the Wolverines officially giving him an offer on July 30.

Michigan’s class of 2022 is currently headlined by 5-star DB Will Johnson. The Wolverines currently have two DBs committed for the cycle.
