A Florida defensive lineman and B1G target has set his commitment date.
Zane Durant, a 4-star defensive lineman out of Lake Nona, Florida, announced on Sunday that he will be revealing his commitment decision on Sunday, July 4. Indiana and Penn State are believed to be two contenders for Durant’s pledge.
Per 247Sports, the top contenders for Durant’s pledge are Indiana, Penn State, Miami (FL) and UCF. He has received nearly two dozen offers though, so he could land with a number of programs.

Durant ranks as the No. 339 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class but is considered a Top 50 defensive lineman. He recently made the transition from linebacker to defensive line and has continued to thrive the field.
The 6-foot-1, 250-pound Durant collected 40 tackles, 15.5 for loss, 6.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown during an eight-game season at Lake Nona. In 2019, he piled up 28 tackles, including 7.5 for loss.
Indiana currently has seven players committed in the 2022 class, ranking No. 35 nationally and No. 9 in the B1G. Penn State has 12 verbal pledges, ranking No. 2 in the B1G and No. 7 nationally,
