One of the top prospects in the class of 2022 is down to 10 teams and two Big Ten teams are in that group.
Mykel Williams rolled out his ‘top 10’ on New Year’s Day with Ohio State and Penn State in the mix as some of the nation’s top programs continue their high-profile recruitment of the star player.

A defensive lineman out of Georgia, Williams is the No. 46 player in the nation. He’s the fifth-best recruit in Georgia and the fifth-best defensive tackle in the nation according to 247Sports. He would be a massive addition to either Penn State or Ohio State.
In addition to the two Big Ten teams, the usual powerhouses are circling around including Alabama, Arizona State, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU and USC.
Currently, Ohio State owns the best recruiting class in the B1G while Penn State is right behind at No. 2. Those are also their respective national rankings, per 247Sports for the 2022 class.
