The top-ranked prospect from New York has included a pair of B1G squads in his Top 5.
Moses Walker, a native of Brooklyn, released the Top 5 programs he’s still considering. Penn State and Rutgers were the two B1G teams to be included on his list, as well as LSU, Texas A&M and USC.
A 6-foot-2, 220-pound outside linebacker, Walker ranks as the No. 10 player at his position and cracks the Top 150 recruits in the 2022 cycle, coming in at No. 129, per 247Sports. More than a dozen schools offered Walker, but he’s eliminated big names like Boston College, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Nebraska, Pitt, Syracuse, Tennessee and West Virginia.

From 247Sports recruiting analyst Brian Dohn:
Effective blitzer off edge. Good form tackler. Has leadership skills. Diagnosis plays quickly. Runs well and can chase plays to sideline. Good with depth drops in zone coverage. Has to add strength and size, especially to play linebacker. Work on stack and shedding needed.
Penn State currently has eight players committed in the 2022 class, ranking sixth nationally and second in the B1G, behind only Ohio State. All eight verbal pledges for the Nittany Lions have a 4-star ranking.
Rutgers has also loaded up on early commits with the 2022 class. The Scarlet Knights have nine verbal commitments and rank No. 10 nationally and No. 3 in the B1G. Greg Schiano has received pledges from three 4-star prospects.
