A talented running back in the 2022 recruiting class has set his commitment date.
Sunday morning, 4-star running back Kaytron Allen announced via Twitter that he will be committing on Friday, July 16. He did not provide a time in his tweet.
More than 30 schools have extended an offer to Allen during the recruiting process. Several B1G programs are in contention for his commitment, including Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State. Other B1G programs to extend offers include Indiana, Maryland, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Allen, a native of Norfolk, Virginia, is a 5-foot-11, 220-pound back who ranks as the No. 10 player at his position. He’s also listed as the No. 127 overall prospect of the 2022 cycle.
The IMG Academy standout helped lead the team to an 8-0 record in 2020. He rushed for 515 yards and 9 touchdowns and also caught 11 passes for 140 yards and an additional score. He has received a Polynesian Bowl invitation, as well.
Allen took a visit to Penn State in early June and followed with a trip to Michigan State later in the month.
