The start of the college football season is less than a month away, meaning several preseason polls are starting to be released.

While the Associated Press won’t reveal its preseason top 25 until mid-August, several other publications are starting to unveil their rankings for the upcoming season. Sporting News was one of those outlets.

Five B1G teams were mentioned in Sporting News’ top 25, tied for second-most of any conference. The SEC led the way with seven teams and the Pac-12 also had five. The Big 12 had three teams and the ACC had two.

Here’s a look at where Sporting News ranked those five B1G squads:

  • No. 4 — Ohio State
  • No. 10 — Michigan
  • No. 12 — Penn State
  • No. 21 — Wisconsin
  • No. 25 — Nebraska

You can view the full top 25 from Sporting News here.
