5-star safety Keon Sabb has set his commitment date for this upcoming Saturday, July 17.

He’ll make his announcement on CBS Sports HQ at 4 p.m. ET. Here’s the announcement:

Sabb is considering Penn State, Michigan, Clemson, Georgia, Texas A&M and LSU.

He’s a 5-star prospect for the class of 2022. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Sabb is the No. 22 overall player in the country.

He attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., but is originally from New Jersey. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds.

Sabb took official visits to both Michigan and Penn State in June. He’s also visited Texas A&M, Georgia and Clemson since the dead period was lifted on June 1.

Penn State currently has the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation, but Sabb would immediately become their best recruit. The Nittany Lions haven’t signed a 5-star from the 247Sports Composite rankings since linebacker Brandon Smith in the class of 2019.

Michigan is off to a slower start in the class of 2022, but still has a top-10 nationally according to Composite rankings. The Wolverines already have a commitment from a 5-star in this cycle — from cornerback Will Johnson, who has been committed since February.

Sabb will be able to officially sign with the school he chooses during the Early Signing Period in December.
