6 B1G players make the Associated Press All-Bowl Team

The 2019-20 bowl season is in the books.

With the College Football Playoff National Championship quickly approaching, the final bowl game of the season wrapped up on Monday evening. It was definitely an exciting and drama-filled one with a number of big performances throughout.

On Wednesday, the Associated Press released its All-Bowl Team for the year. The team was headlined by six B1G stars, including a set of teammates from Iowa and Penn State.

Here’s the full list of B1G stars included along with their bowl stats:

  • RB, Journey Brown, Penn State – 16 carries, 202 rushing yards, 2 TDs in Cotton Bowl win
  • WR, Tyler Johnson, Minnesota – 12 receptions, 202 yards, 2 TDs in Outback Bowl win
  • DL, A.J. Epenesa, Iowa – 2.5 sacks, forced fumble in Holiday Bowl win
  • DL, Kenny Willekes, Michigan State – 9 tackles, 1.5 sacks, forced fumble in Pinstripe Bowl win
  • LB, Micah Parsons, Penn State – 14 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 pass breakups in Cotton Bowl win
  • KR/PR, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Iowa – 98-yard kickoff return TD, three total TDs in Holiday Bowl win
