The spring football season is over and everyone is gearing up for the 2019 campaign to get underway. There are still four months until kickoff, but who says it’s too early to look ahead at some rankings?
USA TODAY released its post-spring top 25 this week, giving fans something to discuss for the next few days and weeks. Unsurprisingly, reigning national champion Clemson and runner-up Alabama sit at the top two spots in the rankings.
Six B1G teams were mentioned in the recent rankings from USA TODAY. Here are where those squads ranked at the end of spring:
- No. 5 — Ohio State
- No. 6 — Michigan
- No. 17 — Northwestern
- No. 19 — Nebraska
- No. 21 — Penn State
- No. 25 — Wisconsin
Rankings tend to fluctuate over the course of the spring, summer and fall. We’ll see how much these rankings change by the time kickoff arrives in late August.
