College football is a huge moneymaker for just about every school, television network and media outlet out there. Some schools are just a bit more profitable than others, though.

Recently, Forbes released a report showing which programs generate the most revenue from college football, and which turn the largest profits.

Seven B1G schools were listed in the top 25 of Forbes list, second-most of any conference in the country. The only league with more teams to make the cut was the SEC, which had 10 teams.

Two B1G programs, Michigan and Ohio State, were listed in the top five. Here are the top five schools that generate the most revenue, according to Forbes:

  1. Texas A&M, SEC ($148 million)
  2. Texas, Big XII ($133 million)
  3. Michigan, B1G ($127 million)
  4. Alabama, SEC ($127 million)
  5. Ohio State, B1G ($120 million)

Yeah, those are some big-time numbers.

Here is where the rest of the B1G stacked up. You can see the full list from Forbes here.

  • No. 14 Penn State ($92 million)
  • No. 20 Nebraska ($83 million)
  • No. 22 Michigan State ($80 million)
  • No. 23 Iowa ($79 million)
  • No. 24 Wisconsin ($78 million)
