There’s been a “Surrender Cobra” sighting in Champaign. It just so happened that it was spotted in an Illinois bar immediately after the Illini upset No. 6 Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon.
Illinois Athletics shared a video of fans celebrating Illinois’ 24-23 upset win over Wisconsin on Saturday, a game the Illini won as a 31-point underdog. The video showed Illini supporters cheering after James McCourt’s 39-yard field goal attempt sailed through the uprights.
The video was shot at a bar full of Illinois fans, except one outsider. There was a Wisconsin fan in a hockey jersey, who didn’t appear to be having quite as good a time as some of the others in the establishment.
Below is the video.

He’s probably not getting much sympathy from those around him.
That win was the first B1G victory of the year for Illinois, which improved to 3-4 on the season. Wisconsin suffered its first loss of the season, dropping to 6-1 on the year.
