One Fresno State enthusiast has officially earned the right to be called a super-fan.

Saturday night, Fresno State posted a 31-20 win over Arizona State in the Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl to finish the season with a 12-2 record. And one fan was so excited that he actually broke his leg while celebrating the Bulldogs’ victory.

Dave Boyt, whose daughter is a member of the Fresno State dance team, was so excited after Fresno State won that he jumped onto the field, but broke his leg when he hit the turf. His daughter, Paityn, couldn’t help but post about the incident.

“My dad was so excited when Fresno State won he jumped from the stadium on to the field and broke his leg,” Paityn Boyt wrote on Twitter. “He was still chanting Fresno State as he got dragged away in a gurney…talk about a super fan.”

That’s a lot of loyalty.

Fresno State head coach Jeff Tedford may have to send this Bulldogs super-fan a game ball for his support and dedication, even through injury.
