A.J. Epenesa named to Watch List honoring top Polynesian CFB player

A.J. Epenesa has found his name on another preseason watch list.
Tuesday, Epenesa was included on the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award Watch List. The Iowa defensive lineman is entering his junior season with the Hawkeyes and is considered one of the best at his position in the sport.

Epenesa is coming off a dominant sophomore campaign in which he led the B1G with 10.5 sacks. He also registered 16.5 tackles for loss, forced four fumbles and scored a touchdown on a scoop and score.
The defensive lineman finished the season with 37 total tackles.
Epenesa is considered to be one of the best defensive linemen in college football and is expected to be a first-round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, if he decides to leave Iowa a year early.
