Aaron Steinfeldt, Indiana TE, details ‘awesome feeling’ of first career start in Week 6

Aaron Steinfeldt got to experience what it was like to start for Indiana against Michigan last Saturday. He was is in awe of the home crowd in Bloomington per The Herald-Times’ Dustin Dopirak.
Steinfeldt was a former 3-star TE and is a native of Bloomington, Indiana per the 247Sports Composite.
Steinfeldt scored in his first career start, but had it taken away by a penalty. The Indiana TE caught a pass in the flat and walked in for a TD, but his teammate Cam Cooper drew the flag on his block.
He couldn’t emphasize enough for great it was to be surrounded by his teammates after the score before it was taken away by the penalty.
“I remember seeing red in the end zone,” Steinfeldt said. “It was just a bunch of raw emotion. All of that hard work I put in the offseason just paid off in that moment. Feeling that in the end zone celebrating with my teammates was an awesome thing for me, being a guy from Bloomington most of my life, being in front of a crowd that’s mostly Bloomington, representing my city and my family. It was an awesome feeling.”
With the injuries to the Hoosiers’ TEs, Steinfeldt might have some more chances to start in the future. We’ll see if he get the start for Indiana’s meeting with Maryland on Saturday.
