Aaron Wilson, a 4-star defensive end in the 2022 recruiting class, has died. Hayes Fawcett reported the news on Monday. Wilson was just 17 years old.
The tragic news of Wilson’s passing comes after it was revealed that he developed a “high grade midline glioma and was in a battle for his life,” according to 247Sports. Wilson recently underwent brain surgery to remove some of the mass. He also went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

“Despite his medical condition Aaron has managed to maintain his sense of humor. He shows humility each day,” (Wilson’s mother, Rasheda) Mayse wrote on the website. “He has a strong faith in God and his favorite thing to say is, “I have magnificent faith!” Anyone who meets Aaron will tell you that he is one of the nicest and most humble kids you will ever meet. We are optimistic about other treatment options and want to explore other options, even those outside of the United States.”
Wilson was listed as a 4-star defensive end in the 2022 recruiting class. The Baltimore, Maryland native was ranked as one of the Top 10 players at his position in the cycle. He held offers from multiple major programs.
