Apparently a lot of FBS coaches believe Jim Harbaugh isn’t worth all of the attention he’s receiving.

CBS Sports writers Dennis Dodd, Chip Patterson and Barrett Sallee recently spoke with one-fifth of the 130 FBS college football coaches, asking for honest opinions about a variety of topics. One thing the writers wanted an opinion on? Who was viewed as the most overrated coach in the sport.

Michigan fans won’t like the results.

According to the results, 13 percent of coaches believe Harbaugh is overrated. He was followed by Nick Saban, Lane Kiffin and, another B1G coach, Lovie Smith.

Why do Harbaugh’s colleagues believe the Michigan head coach is overrated?

The primary reasoning from the article states that Harbaugh knows how to attract attention in a number of ways (Twitter, sleepovers with recruits, music videos, etc.) but hasn’t produced anything just yet. In his two seasons in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines haven’t finished higher than third in the East Division.

It’s an interesting outcome, especially considering former Michigan star Jabrill Peppers recently said that his time with Harbaugh prepared him for the rigorous grind of NFL training camp.

It would also be interesting if we had the names of the coaches who called him overrated.
