Actor, former FSU football player Burt Reynolds dies at 82

Legendary actor, director and producer Burt Reynolds has passed away at the age of 82, according to reports.
Reynolds was credited with appearing in 187 films and television shows throughout his acting career, according to IMDB.com. He was famously known for his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Boogie Nights and The Longest Yard among others.
According to CNN.com, Reynolds’ agent Todd Eisner said the star passed away from cardiac arrest.

In addition to his prolific career as an actor, Reynolds was a football star in high school and college, and was a halfback at Florida State in the 1950s. He was roommates with current College GameDay analyst Lee Corso while in Tallahassee.
Reynolds suffered several injuries while playing football and decided to retire from the game in 1957.
Reynolds was still a welcomed face in Tallahassee, making return visits to Florida State to “Plant the Spear” before big games.
