Adam Henry, a veteran wide receivers coach who spent the 2022 season as Indiana’s co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, is leaving for the NFL.
The report came from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, who reported that the Buffalo Bills are hiring Henry. Henry previously coached at LSU and with 5 NFL teams. Overall, Henry has 26 overall seasons of experience with 14 in college and 12 in the NFL.
He’s coached Pro Bowlers Odell Beckham Jr., Anquan Boldin, Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Jarvis Landry and Zach Miller.
Henry replaces Chad Hall, who left to take the same job on Doug Pederson’s staff in Jacksonville.
When Henry was hired at Indiana last year, he said he lost his mother and father in the course of 7 months, and he was originally going to leave coaching and stake some time away, but Tom Allen convinced him this would be a good fit.
Indiana’s offense last season was 12th in the Big Ten, and the passing offense was 8th in the Big Ten. Cam Camper led the Hoosiers in receiving last season with 46 catches in 7 games for 569 yards and 2 touchdowns. Josh Henderson had a team-high 4 touchdown catches.
