Adam Schefter has two-word ‘analysis’ of Rams-Bengals joint practice fight involving Aaron Donald

Adam Schefter was on ESPN’s “NFL Live” on Thursday, not long after the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals were involved in a fight during a joint practice at the Bengals’ training facility.

The skirmish was caught on video by @dpainclain on Twitter and made its way around the Internet throughout the afternoon. In just hours, the video, which appeared to show Rams defender Aaron Donald swinging a helmet repeatedly to strike Bengals players, broke the million-view mark.

Meanwhile, Schefter had a rather blunt, to-the-point reaction to what he saw when asked by host Laura Rutledge.

“Assault,” he said. “Assault.”

It didn’t look like he was kidding, despite laughter from Rutledge and analyst Ryan Clark. Now, it’s probably likely Donald won’t be arrested for his actions, but we’ll see what the NFL has to say regarding any punishment for one of its star players.

Meanwhile, the joint practice ended up being cancelled, three days after Rams head coach Sean McVay literally told the media that there was “no place for fighting” once the team arrived in Cincinnati. Needless to say, that didn’t stick.
