The Scott Frost era has begun.
Nebraska football isn’t exactly thriving quite yet under Frost, but even at 1-6, the team has had its share of positives. One of those is freshman QB Adrian Martinez.
Martinez, during just his eighth game this season — against Bethune-Cookman — set the freshman passing yardage record at Nebraska during the first half:
Adrian Martinez passed for 213 yards in the first half to give him 1,656 passing yards this season, setting a Nebraska freshman record for passing yards. The previous record was 1,632 yards by Taylor Martinez in 2010. #Huskers

Adrian Martinez’s 1,656 passing yards topped Taylor Martinez’s 1,632 yards accomplished back in 2010. Today is a new world of football, surely, but Frost’s first QB doing this in not even eight full games is pretty impressive — especially when many know Adrian Martinez for his legs.
Nebraska-Bethune-Cookman can be watched on BTN.
