Their second consecutive road win, the Indiana Hoosiers beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 38-31, on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Improving to 6-2 with the victory, the Hoosiers have clinched a bowl berth for the first time since the 2016 season. By securing their postseason spot on October 26, this is the earliest Indiana has confirmed a bowl trip since 1993.

Appreciative of the distance they traveled, head coach Tom Allen celebrated with Hoosier fans on his way off the field.

Indiana Sports Beat Radio with Jim Coyle shared video of the coach’s excitement:

Filling in for injured redshirt freshman Michael Penix Jr., redshirt junior Peyton Ramsey had a career-day, throwing for 351 yards and two scores while adding another 42 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The team’s leading rusher with 621 yards, sophomore Stevie Scott III ran for 68 yards and a nine-yard fourth quarter score on 16 carries.

Looking to reach the seven-win mark for the first time since 2007, Indiana (6-2) will host Northwestern (1-6) on November 2 at 7:00PM ET on FS1.

Falling to 4-4 with the loss, Nebraska will travel to West Lafayette to face Purdue (2-6) on Saturday (12:00PM ET, FOX).
