Easily the most impressive victory of the Lovie Smith era, Illinois knocked off No. 6 Wisconsin, 24-23, on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Champaign.

After the win, the team twisted the knife by playing Wisconsin’s signature anthem, ‘Jump Around’ by House of Pain.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg shared some video of the scene on Twitter:

The program’s first victory over a ranked B1G foe since 2007, Illinois improved to 3-4 with the win. Returning from a concussion, redshirt junior quarterback Brandon Peters completed 9-21 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.

Their first loss of the season, Wisconsin was uncharacteristically reckless with the football, committing three turnovers. Unfortunately for Paul Chryst’s team, the road does not get any easier as the Badgers will travel to Columbus to battle the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes on October 26.
