One of the top recruits of the 2018 class has entered the transfer portal.
According to a report from Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, Alabama linebacker Eyabi Anoma will explore other options. He’s a former five-star prospect, was the highest-rated recruit of the Crimson Tide’s 2018 class and was the No. 4 overall prospect of the cycle.
Anoma appeared in 13 games for Alabama in 2018, registered nine tackles, including two for loss.
SOURCE: #Alabama's Five-star LB Eyabi Anoma has entered The Transfer Portal. REALLY talented kid who had been frustrated at times with getting settled in there. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at #Maryland with Mike Locksley.

In a bit of an interesting comment, Feldman said that he wouldn’t be surprised if Anoma was seriously considering Maryland to join former Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley.
Anoma is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and held an offer from the Terrapins, along with 16 other offers.
Entering the transfer portal doesn’t necessarily mean that Anoma will leave Alabama, as he’ll be able to return to the Crimson Tide if he chooses. However, if he’s been frustrated in Tuscaloosa as Feldman reports, he may be seeking more playing time elsewhere.
