The regular season is behind us, and the award season has begun around the B1G!
Tuesday saw a flurry of announcements as the B1G named the 2018 defensive award winners and the 2018 All-B1G defensive selections early in the evening. A number of impressive players were recognized while Michigan LB Devin Bush was named the B1G Defensive Player of the Year.
Following those honors, the B1G also announced the 2018 special teams award winners, along with the All-B1G special teams selections.
Iowa’s Ihmir Smith-Marsette was named the Rodgers-Dwight Return Specialist of the Year in the conference. However, Purdue freshman phenom Rondale Moore was the coaches’ selection for first-team All-B1G returner. Moore was the media’s choice for the second-team while Smith-Marsette was the media’s first-team selection.
