A referee in the Rutgers-Michigan game was all turned around on Saturday afternoon. Maybe it’s because the Wolverines were able to score so quickly.

After a long touchdown pass from Shea Patterson to Nico Collins, an official was prepared to explain why a penalty flag was thrown on the play. There was only one problem: he was facing the wrong direction.

The official figured it out quickly, and was able to get turned around mid-sentence. Still, it provided a funny moment early on Saturday afternoon.

We don’t see things like that too often, so it was a bit unusual. But now that he’s located the camera and press box, it should go pretty smoothly for the lead official the rest of the afternoon.
