Anchors await: Another game involving Navy has been postponed due to COVID-19

A most unusual college football season continues to be especially wacky for Navy. For a third straight weekend, Navy has seen their game shut down.
It has been all tricks and no treats for Navy since they last played on Halloween. This Saturday’s game against South Florida has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols as well as injury issues.
“The American Athletic Conference has announced the postponement of two football games that had been scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21,” Navy said in a statement according to 247Sports.com. “The Houston at SMU and Navy at USF games have been postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases with Houston and USF and the ensuing contact tracing of student-athletes. The American will consider a number of options with regard to the playing of the contests.”

The Bulls have been decimated by injuries this year, in particular on the defensive side of the ball. The coronavirus as well as contact tracing has led to the postponement of this game.
Navy, 3-4 on the season, last played in a 51-37 loss to SMU on Oct. 31.
In addition, the American Athletic Conference has postponed the Houston-SMU game this weekend.
