The coaching carousel will add another stop to the list during this college football season.

Louisiana Tech is firing coach Skip Holtz after the season finale on Saturday against host Rice, according to reporter Brett McMurphy:

This marks the 15th vacancy this season:

Holtz has coached at Louisiana Tech since 2013, with previous head coaching stints at Connecticut (1994-98), East Carolina (2005-09), and South Florida (2010-12). The 57-year-old coach has amassed a 152-120 overall record and 64-49 record at Louisiana Tech. Holtz guided Louisiana Tech to three division titles (2014, 2016, 2019).

Louisiana Tech is currently 3-8 overall and fifth place in Conference USA West. The Bulldogs most recently lost 35-19 vs. Southern Miss on Nov. 19.

Louisiana Tech-Rice is slated for a 1 p.m. (EST) kickoff and will be televised on ESPN+.
